A brief introduction to Roots and Streams:
Roots-n-Streams was started in September 2010 by Kim Brannon, a teacher from Greenville, IL.
We network and partner with existing non-profit organizations to promote poverty reduction programs.
We network and partner with existing non-profit organizations to promote poverty reduction programs.
Through networking, promotion, and sales we help provide ‘stability and life’ (Roots and Streams) to some of the world’s poorest people.
1) We promote the cause of widows and orphans by providing opportunities for widow and child sponsorship.
2) We offer presentations to schools, churches, and civic organizations to create awareness and enlist involvement.
3) We support the establishment and growth of micro-enterprise endeavors through networking and fair trade handicraft sales.
4) We network only with organizations who share a common mission with us and have validated
connections with the artisans to insure life-giving fair trade.
. Products we sell include: recycled paper jewelry and purses from Uganda, bone jewelry from Kenya, freshwater pearl jewelry and silk brocade handbags from South China, scarves, inspirational notecards, cowhorn crafts, baskets, and more…
